Russian troops amass on Ukrainian border, Ukrainian commanders confirm

Lieutenant-General Serhiy Naev, commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has made this statement.

According to the commander, the Russians have about 17,000 military personnel in the regions bordering Ukraine (Bryansk and Kursk), as well as in Belarus.

As to the training ranges of Belarus, according to Naev, there is a Russian group of about 2,800 people there. Besides, Russian air force planes and helicopters are still stationed at the Belarusian military airfields.

Despite this, we continue reinforcing the northern grouping of troops, preparing reserves. We are monitoring the situation, rearming with more modern foreign models, improving long-term fortifications, increasing the density of mines in the territory of border strips, and training people.
