Russians hit Sumshchyna, children left without parents


The occupants continue shelling the border areas of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
On the morning of 24 August, Russians attacked a civilian car with an FPV drone in the Esman community of Sumy Region. In the car were 35-year-old Alexander and his 34-year-old wife Natalia. This was reported by the Sumy regional Prosecutor's office and the local edition "Border.Media".
The village Chairman Sergey Minakov said that the tragedy occurred near the village of Svobodnaya Sloboda Esman community.
As the prosecutor's office specified, the Russians attacked the car around 08:00. The car was travelling on the Kipty - Glukhov - Bachevsk highway. After the attack, the car caught fire. Those who were inside could not survive.
Children were left without parents.

Meanwhile, the OC "North" reported on the consequences of shelling in Sumyshchyna over the past 24 hours:
- In Grabivske village of Krasnopol community, as a result of KAB strikes, a critical infrastructure facility, 20 private houses, a hangar building and a warehouse were damaged.
- In Stepanivka, Burin community, 4 civilians were wounded and an industrial building was damaged as a result of a missile strike.
- Russians hit the village of Novaya Sloboda in Konotop district with KABs: a critical infrastructure facility and a private house were damaged.
- In Hlukhiv, a KAB explosion damaged an administrative building. The Russians also attacked the town with an FPV drone: a private house and 2 civilian cars were damaged.
- The village of Druzhba in Shostkynshchyna was hit by KABs: 3 private houses were damaged.
- In the village of Esman, Shostka district, a KAB attack damaged critical infrastructure, a private house, 2 two-storey houses and outbuildings.
- The village of Shalyhyno in Shostkinskiy district was shelled with mortars and hit by FPV drones: a person was wounded and 3 private houses were damaged.
- Russia struck a "Nova Poshta" terminal near Kharkiv: staff members were killed and more than 20 people were injured
- 3 July has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv. The number of dead and injured is rising
