Russian snipers fired on police cars in Volchansk

Russiansnipers have fired on an armoured police vehicle while evacuating people from Volchansk in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the National Police on 13 May.

The armoured SUV Toyota Hilux saved the lives of three police officers. They were on their way to evacuate people from under shelling in Volchansk.

We drove into the street from where we had to pick up citizens and heard gunshots in our direction from the outskirts of Volchansk. We were hit in the windscreen where the driver was sitting, as well as the passenger windows and doors. When we turned around, we had a wheel punched and were also shot at in the trail," said policeman Maxim Stetsyna.

Now the police vehicle is back in service and continues to provide evacuation of the population

Earlier Socialportal reported that in Volchansk, which is near the border with the Russian Federation and under constant enemy fire, there are still up to 500 people.

Earlier, Russian troops dropped aerial bombs on frontline Volchansk on 12 May. There are dead and wounded.
