Russia carried out a terrorist attack on a residential area of Sumy during Palm Sunday celebrations.



The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will inform international partners and organisations about the Russian missile strike on Sumy. This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibyha.

He called on allies to react decisively to the Russian strike on civilians - to provide Ukraine with additional air defence systems and to increase pressure on Moscow. According to him, the attack on Palm Sunday - a Christian holiday - is a manifestation of absolute evil.

As a result of the attack, 21 people were killed and another 83 wounded, among them seven children.

President Vladimir Zelensky expressed his condolences to the affected families, stressing that the attack hit an ordinary city street - houses, educational institutions, cars.
