The President of Georgia told why she does not go to Ukraine

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said the Georgian government had denied her permission to visit France, Poland and Ukraine. It is reported by Georgia Online.

Zurabishvili stated this while in Brussels.

I wanted to visit France, Poland and possibly Ukraine, which we should thank for the accelerated process of discussing the candidacy (for EU accession), but again I was refused, she said.

Zurabishvili has previously complained that she was forced to cancel working meetings in Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Warsaw because of the government's position.

Meanwhile, American scholar Lincoln Mitchell believes that because of the failure of the Russian army in Ukraine, Putin may order an attack on Georgia. Thus, the expert believes, Putin will want to show that at least somewhere the Russian army can win, writes CNN.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili does not rule out such a scenario either. According to her, the current political tension in the country has escalated after the invasion of Ukraine began.

Recall, the President of Ukraine said that he does not understand the leadership of Georgia, which refuses to impose economic sanctions against Russia. In particular, the Prime Minister of Georgia said that the country takes into account its national interests. He stressed that Georgia does not plan to impose economic sanctions against the Russian Federation in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
