After another attack on Ukrainian ports, drone wreckage is again found in Romania

This was reported by the local edition of Digi24 with reference to the country's Defence Ministry.

At night, the Emergency Situations Agency received several phone messages from local residents about the drone's crash. After that, a military helicopter was sent to search for it. Its crew found the wreckage of the drone between the villages of Nuferu and Victoria - 14 kilometres from the border with Ukraine and 20 kilometres from Izmail," the report said.

Probable fragments of the drone are scattered over several dozens of metres.
Another Romanian Air Force helicopter with a specialised team on board has been sent to the area where the debris fell to conduct preliminary research and take samples for examination.

The Romanian Defence Ministry promised to release details later, depending on the findings.

Earlier this month, Romania reported two cases in which drone fragments similar to those used by Russian Federation were found on Romanian territory. The Romanian authorities have since decided to strengthen the security of the territories bordering Ukraine.

France24 reports that because of the downing of a Russian drone 14 kilometres from the border, Romanians have started building temporary shelters for residents of villages bordering Ukraine.

The concrete shelters, designed to protect the residents of Plaur, will be handed over to the local authorities once construction is complete.
