Polish consulate in Kiev damaged in massive Russian Federation attack.

During a massive overnight attack by Russian troops on Kyiv on 4 July, the building of the consular section of the Polish Embassy was damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured. This was reported by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

As a result of a massive racist attack on Kiev, the building of the consular section of our embassy was damaged. I just spoke with Ambassador Lukaszewicz - everyone is alive and unharmed," he wrote on social network X (Twitter).

Sikorski also publicly addressed former US President Donald Trump, saying Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was "mocking Trump's peace initiatives".

Please resume deliveries of anti-aircraft munitions to Ukraine and impose tough new sanctions against the aggressor," the minister stressed.

Large-scale shelling of Kiev

Last night Russia launched one of the most powerful attacks on the Ukrainian capital in the entire full-scale war. According to the Air Force, 539 drones and 11 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles and hypersonic Kinzhals, were fired at Ukrainian territory. The Russians fired a record 330 Shahed-type kamikaze drones alone.

Kiev has become the main target of the attack. Damage was recorded in at least six districts of the city, including residential buildings, social institutions, medical and transport infrastructure. As of the morning of 4 July, 23 people are known to have been injured, including a 10-year-old child.

Due to the numerous fires after the strikes, high levels of air pollution have been recorded in the capital. The authorities urge citizens not to open windows and, if possible, not to leave the house unnecessarily.
