Sending German soldiers to Ukraine is not ruled out.

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has said that he admits sending German troops to Ukraine, but will do so only after a ceasefire on the territory of our country, ntv has reported.

Germany may join the international peacekeeping mission and send its soldiers to Ukraine, but only after peace or at least a ceasefire is achieved," he said.

At the same time, he pointed out that there is too little certainty now to make more concrete statements.

The question arises when the ceasefire should come, what it will look like, will there be a line of demarcation, a buffer zone or a peacekeeping zone where the armed forces will ensure peace? There are too many open questions to make a concrete statement," Pistorius said.

He added that Germany would be involved in the peacekeeping process if necessary, as it is the largest country on the continent, but emphasised that it would be up to Parliament to decide whether to send troops.
