The Pension Fund will check the validity of sickness benefits

According to the decree, there will be a control verification of the validity of the formation (issuance) of certificates of incapacity for work and medical conclusions on temporary disability. The inspection will be carried out by authorized officials of the territorial body of the Pension Fund and / or authorized physicians, the list of which is approved by the board of the Pension Fund.

It is noted that the inspection is necessary to prevent the misuse of funds, specialists of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine.

During the year 2022, 380 904 certificates of incapacity for work were checked - 158 scheduled and 1 832 unscheduled inspections of health care institutions and 1 936 insurers were checked. The work carried out prevented payments for unreasonably issued or prolonged sick leaves in the amount of over UAH 3.6 million," it was reported.
