Parents of 225 children in Kupyansk refuse to leave for safe areas

The Kharkiv Region authorities intend to forcibly remove families with children from the Kupyanska community, as the parents of 225 children have signed a refusal of compulsory evacuation. This was announced by the head of the Kupyansk city military administration Andriy Besedin on the air of a telethon.

He pointed out that the families have no problem to leave, as the regional authorities provide them with transport and also promise to help find a safe place for them. However, according to Besedin, no one agrees to leave.

To date, all 225 parents or guardians who stay with their children have written refusals to refuse compulsory evacuation, so we are now actively considering the issue of forced evacuation of children, because the enemy is increasing shelling from heavy weapons, these are guided bombs, 500-kilogram shells falling daily on the city, on the territory of the community, - said the head of the Kupyanska MVA.

He added that they have already prepared places for people to live in Kharkiv.

If we talk about the very algorithm of evacuation - it is a "hot line", where a person can apply. A special car will immediately come for her, pick her up, bring her to Kharkiv, where social workers, psychologists, volunteers will meet her, - explained Besedin.

In addition, there is a possibility of evacuation to other regions.

In turn, the head of the Kupyansk district military administration Andriy Kanashevych said that in the near future the authorities may announce the forced evacuation of children from Vilhuvatska and Velikoburlukska communities in Kharkiv region.

Unfortunately, there is significant destruction there, there are dead, there are even dead children, so we are quite seriously approaching the issue of announcing evacuation," he said.

Also, as Kanashevych stated, it is planned to announce forced evacuation from 18 settlements of Olkhuvatska and Velikoburlukska communities, where 161 children live.
