Satellite images show that the bodies of local residents lay in Bucha for several weeks. This is a refutation of the statements of the Russian Federation that the killings of civilians allegedly occurred after their soldiers left the city.

It is reported by The New York Times .

Analysis of satellite imagery shows that many local residents were killed more than three weeks ago when the Russian occupiers were in Bucha.

The Visual Investigation Team analyzed before and after satellite imagery. The images show dark objects the size of a human body that appeared on Yablonska Street between March 9 and 11.

The objects appear in exactly the same position in which the bodies were found after Ukrainian forces returned Bucha, as seen in the April 2 footage. Further analysis shows that the objects remained in this position for more than three weeks, the publication says.

Some of the bodies lay near the crater, others were near abandoned cars. Three bodies lay next to the bicycles. Some have their hands tied behind their backs with a white cloth.
