The Russian Federation holds more than 20,000 Ukrainian civilians hostage in the occupied territories.

In an interview with Radio Svoboda, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets said:

The issue of civilian hostages detained and held en masse by the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - we have no information at all about where they are, in what condition. I can name the figure of those Ukrainian citizens who have officially contacted me to help them identify the location of civilians detained by the Russian Federation. That figure is over 20 thousand!

We shall remind you that Sotsportal earlier said how many seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen were being held captive in Russia.

Also, earlier, Ukraine and Russia agreed to create a corridor for the exchange of prisoners.
