about author In Kharkiv region, a criminal group of pseudo-social workers who embezzled UAH 1.8 million of pensioners' savings was exposed.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
The defendants offered elderly people to receive food packages and small cash assistance. Pensioners explained that they had only large notes, and therefore asked to give change, - stated in the message.
Observing pensioners, the attackers discovered the place of storage of savings and, distracting attention, stole their savings. In case of quick exposure, used physical force to the owners.
Organised illegal activity 23-year-old resident of Dnepropetrovsk region. The defendants looked for elderly people in different districts of Kharkiv and Lozovoy, as well as in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
