Mayor Oleshek reports first deaths due to flooding
No information on the number of casualties has yet been released.
Oleshek mayor Yevhen Ryshchuk said that there were the first reports of fatalities in temporarily occupied Oleshek.
Also, locals on social media report that victims of the Kakhovskaya HPP bombing have been around for some time. Eyewitnesses report bodies floating directly in the water in flooded gray areas.
As of 19:00, 1,894 people have been evacuated from Kherson Region, 30 settlements remain in the flooded area, of which 20 are in the occupied territory.
It is also known that Kinburn was cut off from mainland Ukraine by water. As of the evening of 7 June, the road linking the peninsula with the mainland was completely flooded near the village of Heroyske.
