Massive attack across Ukraine: there was a power outage in a number of regions

After the massive shelling of Ukraine on 29 December, there were power outages in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa and Kharkiv regions. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Kyiv region

As a result of falling debris damaged overhead lines 10 kV in two communities, 843 subscribers are de-energised.

Dnipropetrovsk region

A 150 kV overhead line was damaged by shelling. data is being updated. Due to previous attacks, 3.3 thousand subscribers were de-energised, all are powered.

Odessa region

As a result of the morning shelling damaged overhead lines 0,6 kV. Now the inspection of networks continues.

Kharkiv region

Due to the night and morning shelling there is damage to networks in five communities in the region. During the day 21 subscribers were energised, at the same time 605 metering points were de-energised. As a result of hostilities 16.6 thousand consumers remain de-energised.

Donetsk region

Four settlements (3.3 thousand subscribers) were de-energised due to the hostilities. During the day 43 settlements (5.9 thousand consumers) were connected. 132 settlements remain without voltage - about 126 thousand metering points.

Zaporozhye region

As a result of military operations 63 settlements - 5.6 thousand subscribers remain without electricity, 1 settlement (16 consumers) was disconnected for technical reasons.

Kherson region

238 consumers were connected in the regional centre. 4.3 thousand customers remain de-energised. 1 settlement (1.1 thousand subscribers) was energised in the region. 45 settlements (about 26 thousand metering points) remain without power as a result of hostilities.

Chernihiv region

As a result of hostilities 16 settlements - almost a thousand consumers are de-energised, for technical reasons 634 customers in 4 settlements are without light.

It is noted that the situation in the energy system is stable and controlled. The application of planned shutdowns of household consumers is not expected.
