Mass evacuation from 14 settlements announced in Donetsk region
Donetsk Region has decided to forcibly evacuate families with children from 14 settlements.
This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin. According to him, the measure will affect Bilozersk and Dobropillya communities, where, according to estimates, about 1,150 children live.
The decision was approved at a meeting of the regional commission on techno-environmental safety and emergencies. Local authorities together with law enforcement agencies should organise the removal of people as soon as possible and provide them with proper conditions on safe Ukrainian territory.
Filashkin stressed that staying on the territory of Donetsk Region was associated with constant danger and urged residents to evacuate without waiting for the situation to worsen.
