At 3:53am today, 9 March 2023, the last line of communication between the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP and the Ukrainian power grid was shut down as a result of Rashist rocket fire.
units 5 and 6 are being put into a cold state, with 18 diesel generators switched on to supply ZNPP's own needs. Fuel for their operation remains for 10 days.
The countdown has started - if the external power supply to the plant is not resumed within 10 days, an accident with radiation consequences for the entire world may occur.
As of 6:30 a.m. on 9 March, shelling of energy facilities was recorded in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions.
