The head of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel, was detained on smuggling


The metropolitan tried to take out church property.
The rector of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Peter Lebed, or Metropolitan Pavel, was detained at the border. This is reported by the publication identifier.in.ua .
It is noted that Vladyka was caught while trying to smuggle out church valuables. In particular, he tried to take out icons and other church property. He wrote out the export documents himself.
How much property was taken out during his trips earlier is still unknown. Law enforcement agencies are already dealing with this case, the report says.



Recall that for about three years, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, involved in the inspection by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the UOC-MP, established a lack of ten items of cultural value.
