General Kellogg compared Putin to Hitler and warned of the risk of attacking NATO countries

Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg warned in an interview with The Telegraph that Vladimir Putin could launch aggression against a NATO country if the West does not show resolve. According to Kellogg, the Russian leader thinks like a KGB agent, underestimates the West and continues to pursue expansionist plans, comparing Putin's actions to Hitler's gradual expansion on the eve of World War II.

In his assessment, Russia's current actions in Ukraine are a test of the West's reaction and a test of its readiness for defence.

Kellogg emphasised that attempts to negotiate with the Kremlin without a show of force are unlikely to yield results. He noted the threat of Russia's new alliances with China, Iran and North Korea, which pose a global challenge.

The general also pointed to the need for support for Ukraine, strategic planning and long-term vision. Short-term concessions do not change Ukraine's right to its territories, he said, and maintaining moral and political pressure is essential.

The West is winning. It has better ideas, and we are united. But the danger remains," Kellogg summarised, calling for a firm and consistent line of countering Russian aggression.
