Gaidai reveals what is happening at the front in Luhansk oblast
There are many Russian occupants in Luhansk Region who have no tactics but are advancing thanks to numbers, OVA head Serhiy Gayday said.
serhiy Haidai, head of the Luhansk Region's Defence Forces, told a TV marathon what is happening at the front in Luhansk Region. For example, he said, the Ukrainian defence forces continue to advance step by step in the direction of Kreminna and Svatove in Luhansk Region.
Although the situation in Luhansk Region is difficult now, it is fully controlled by our Defence Forces. And while on the Donetsk Region side, in Bilohorivka, our defenders are holding firmly there, on the Svatove-Kreminna direction, step by step, meter by meter, it is very difficult, but still, our Defence Forces have success," he said.
At the same time, he did not rule out a new major offensive in the region by the occupiers.
Anything can happen, because this is a war with a huge enemy. 140 million is a powerful reserve. Yes, they are unprofessional soldiers, but still there are a lot of them. At the moment the biggest problem is that there are so many of them. The enemy has no such bright tactics or strategy. They just pile our positions with bodies and move forward little by little," said the head of the region.
Gaidai added that the arrival of new Russian mobilisations in the Luhansk direction is expected as early as February.
The OVA head also pointed out that the invaders are trying to mine as much territory as possible.
Everything is mined. Like the Vietnamese, they have dug holes there. Sometimes these holes go up to several hundred meters. Really strong fortifications, dugouts, trenches have been made. "The Wagner Cubs are also present, but they are not really a huge problem," the OVA head added.
