Czech head informs when he will poison shells to Ukraine

The Czech Republic will send 50,000 ammunition to Ukraine this month and next month. Czech President Petr Pavel said this on 12 July, Czech public broadcaster Czech Public Broadcasting reported.

According to him, from September to the end of the year, Ukraine will receive 80 to 100 thousand ammunition every month within the framework of the Czech initiative.

We will remind, on 17 February, the President of the country Petr Pavel announced at the Munich conference that the Czech Republic found 800 000 shells ready for purchase outside the European Union and pointed out that money is needed for the purchase of shells. The Allies then joined the Czech initiative to finance the procurement.

Already on 20 March, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipovsky announced that the first 300,000 munitions had been received as part of the initiative to purchase munitions from outside the EU and transfer them to Ukraine.

Later, Czech Defence Minister Jana Černohová said that 18 countries had joined the initiative, 15 of which had already allocated money.

Under the project, the allies intend to buy and deliver 500,000 shells to Ukraine by the end of 2024.

We would like to point out that this year the Czech Republic is also considering holding exercises for four thousand Ukrainian military personnel. The same number of Ukrainian military personnel underwent drills in the Czech Republic last year.
