An embargo on the import of Russian coal has been launched in the EU

Given the continuation of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and reports of atrocities committed in Ukraine by the Russian armed forces, the Rada has decided to impose a fifth package of economic and individual sanctions against Russia, the report said.

Previously, the Russian Federation earned, on the export of coal to Europe, eight billion euros.

Recall that the fifth package of sanctions includes, in addition to the embargo on coal, the closure of European ports for Russian ships, the ban on solid fossil fuels produced in Russia or exported from Russia.
