No "zrada": apparently, the transfer of money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was the condition of the court to reduce the sentence.

In Odessa, they caught a Russian engineer who worked for the enemy, handing over the positions of our troops to him. The Primorsky District Court of the city handed down to him a rather mild sentence for today - two and a half years in prison. This was reported by the publication "Dumskaya".

At the same time, the court found guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a citizen of the Russian Federation Denis Azarov, a leading engineer at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow), who now lives in Odessa.

The perpetrator entered into an agreement with the court to admit guilt. The court also took into account a mitigating circumstance: after his arrest Azarov transferred $99,993 to the NBU account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most likely it was part of a deal with the prosecution to reduce the sentence.

However, no amount of money can bring people back to life.
