The president of the European Commission came to Kiev.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kiev on the second anniversary of the start of a full-scale war. In addition to Ursula von der Leyen, three other Western leaders have arrived in Kiev on the occasion of the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is reported by Reuters.
While in Kiev, the head of the European Commission said she had come to Ukraine to recognise the exceptional resistance of the Ukrainian people and to reassure them of European support.
We are more determined than ever to support Ukraine - financially, economically, militarily, morally. Until the country is finally free," she said.
To show solidarity with Ukraine, Giorgia Meloni, prime minister of Italy; Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada; Alexander De Croo, prime minister of Belgium, also arrived in Kiev.
It is known that the leaders of Western countries arrived in Kiev at night from Poland.
Later, Maloney is due to hold a video conference from Kiev, which will be attended by the leaders of the leading G7 democracies, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be invited to join the discussion," Reuters wrote.
It should also be added that yesterday, 23 February, Matte Frederiksen, the prime minister of Denmark, and Chuck Schumer, the majority leader of the US Senate, a Democrat, arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
As Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov said earlier, many visits of leaders of other countries to our country are expected on 24 February. In addition, a meeting with the participation of Ukraine and the Group of Seven is planned.
