30% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure destroyed by Russian missiles

This was announced by Energy Minister German Galushchenko in a comment to CNN.

The minister said that one of the reasons for such actions of the occupiers is that Ukrainian electricity exports to Europe help European countries save on Russian gas and coal. Galushchenko noted that Ukraine is trying to quickly resume supplies from other sources.

Galushchenko stressed that this was "the first time since the beginning of the war" that Russia had "resolutely set its sights" on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

The official also did not rule out the possibility that Ukraine would receive additional energy from Europe.

Ukraine's energy system is stable, but Galushchenko urged partners to provide "air protection systems that could really help us protect our infrastructure.

We are sending a message to our partners: we need to protect the sky. he Russians are not playing any games under international laws. They are not interested in any international agreements or conventions, — he said.

It is worth recalling that on October 10, Russia carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine. It fired 84 cruise missiles and 24 drones on our territory. As a result of the attack 14 people were killed, 97 were wounded and injured. In addition, the country's energy system was affected. The occupiers hit substations and thermal power plants.

Because of the shelling, there are rolling blackouts in parts of Ukraine. Ukrainians were asked to limit electricity consumption during peak hours.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that it was specifically targeting Ukrainian military and energy facilities.
