AFU sacked about 20 sq km in Bakhmut direction - Malyar

A few days later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated some 20 square kilometres near Bakhmut.
This was reported by Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar on Telegram.
According to her, the Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy in the north and south suburbs of Bakhmut, liberating around 20 square kilometres.
At the same time, the enemy is advancing slightly in Bakhmut itself, completely destroying the city with artillery. In addition, the enemy is pulling up divisions of professional paratroopers," added Malyar.
Heavy fighting continues in the Bakhmut direction, with varying results.
The enemy has an advantage in numbers of people and weapons. At the same time, thanks to the actions of our military, it has not been able to implement its plans in the Bakhmut direction since last summer," Malyar recalled.
At the same time, she stressed that the information on the course of military operations should be considered in the complex of all measures of the defensive operation and not taken out of the context of events.
