There was a shooting in the centre of Dresden. A perpetrator tried to break into the editorial office of a radio station


Before arriving at the radio station, a man committed a murder in the Dresden district of Prolis.
A 40-year-old man shot and killed a 70-year-old woman in Dresden and then tried to break into the radio station Radio Dresden, according to Bild .
A man opened fire at the fire exit at the main entrance but was unable to get inside. Radio staff managed to take cover in a safe place and called the police.
as soon as they arrived on the scene, the attacker drove away in a car towards the city centre. There he ran into the Altmarkt-Galerie shopping centre and hid in a pharmacy. According to the newspaper, the man took several people hostage.
The centre of Dresden is cordoned off, the Christmas market is closed and police are on the scene. Because of the closures there is heavy traffic jam in the city. The security forces ask people not to visit the city centre and the Christmas market
