Ukraine has successfully tested a 10-seat specialised armoured vehicle Novator with a remote-controlled module. This was reported by the Ukrainian Armoured Equipment company on 12 March.
Ukrainian Armoured Equipment LLC has successfully tested a 10-seat specialised armoured vehicle Novator with a remotely operated combat module of domestic production TAVRIA-14.5," the statement said.
BM "TAVRIA-14.5" is a combat remote-controlled unmanned turret armed with a 14.5 mm calibre machine gun (KPVT) with 200 rounds of ammunition.
The combat vehicle, with the help of the latest and unique weapon control system, which includes a high-quality stabilisation system, provides the ability to engage and follow targets, as well as to fire accurately at enemy targets on the move.
The vehicle is equipped with an optoelectronic module, which enables it to detect targets at a distance of more than 5 kilometres, both day and night.
The armour protection level of the combat module corresponds to the NATO STANAG 1 level. The designer of the combat module has provided an appropriate armour protection level for the hull of the optoelectronic module and weapon control system units.
