Ukrainian refugees massively refuse asylum abroad.



This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.

More than 100,000 Ukrainians were deregistered as asylum seekers abroad in March 2023.

The largest refugee outflows were recorded in the following countries:

  • Czech Republic (-122585; -27%);
  • Sweden (-23635; -49%);
  • Poland (-17180; -2%).

It is noted that in some countries, on the contrary, the number of Ukrainian refugees has increased. In particular, in such countries:

  • Germany (+33125; +3%);
  • Italy (+7430; +5%);
  • Romania (+6640; +6%).

The highest proportion of Ukrainian refugees in relation to the local population (2-3%) live in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania and Bulgaria, - the journalists add.

A total of 3.9m Ukrainians remain on the territory of the EU. Back in February, the number of refugees abroad stood at 4m.
