Defence Forces explain why Russians are shelling Kherson

The shelling of Kherson by Russian troops is not their revenge.
The Russians simply hate all those who live better than them. This is the only reason why the invaders terrorize civilians and shoot people in their homes and on the streets of Ukrainian cities, the head of the United Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces in southern Ukraine, Nataliya Humenyuk, said during a telethon.
Asked by a journalist whether yesterday's shelling of Kherson could be considered revenge by the Russians for this or that action of the Ukrainian defenders, she said that it was not so.
I do not consider every shelling of the occupants to be revenge at all. It is a development of the war and military actions that the enemy, let us say, "offered" to us since February 24 from the beginning of the full-scale invasion. To say that they specifically took revenge for hitting the control point, they do not value their own so much as to sink ours. They just hate everyone who lives better than them
She noted that by killing Ukrainians, Russian occupation troops are trying to prove to their "tsar" that they are supposedly capable of something.
This is a demonstration of their powerlessness, because they cannot do what their "leader" demands of them
