SBU detains FSS agent in Kharkiv who was plotting terrorist attacks

In the course of a large-scale special operation in Kharkiv, the Security Service's counter-intelligence service exposed another Russian agent.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Security Service's press service.
It is reported that the perpetrator was involved in the preparation of terrorist acts against the military personnel of the defence forces stationed on the territory of the regional centre.
To this end, he was spying on Ukrainian defenders (pilots and special units) - trying to establish their places of temporary deployment and residence, as well as routes of travel in their own vehicles.
The perpetrator was caught attempting to pass intelligence information to the aggressor.
According to investigators, the person involved is a local resident who was recruited by a cadre of FSB operative group in the Belgorod region, A.P. Salitsev, in November last year.
It was established that a relative living in Russia assisted the Kharkiv resident in contacts with the Russian special services," the report said.
During a search of the suspect's residence, law enforcers found
- mobile phone with evidence of correspondence with the FSS officer;
- russian passport;
- a certificate of registration with the former Russian Consulate General in Kharkiv.
The suspect is currently in custody. An investigation under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law) is ongoing.
