Russians hit Konstantinovka, five people killed


The explosions occurred in the left bank part of the city.
Russians shelled the centre of Kostyantynivka in Donetsk Region on Independence Day on 24 August. They killed five civilians and injured the same number of people. This was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, Russian troops shelled the city, probably from artillery at 11:46. The Russians covered a residential neighbourhood with fire.
As a result, three men and two women were killed," the prosecutor's office pointed out.
Men and four women were taken to medical centres with wounds of varying severity. Now they are being treated. The final number of victims is established.
The day before, on 23 August, the Russians wounded five residents of Donetsk region: two - in Kurakhovo, and one person each in Toretsk, Shcherbinovka and Antonovka.
In total, the Russians shelled Donbass settlements 10 times in the past 24 hours.
4,992 people, including 1,023 children, were evacuated from the front line from Donetsk Region.
