On October 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned the Ukrainian ambassador and handed over a note that Ukraine allegedly intends to attack the territory of Belarus.
Echelons with Russian servicemen, who will be part of the regional grouping of troops, have arrived in the Republic of Belarus. This was stated by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus .
The first echelons of the Russian military have arrived in Belarus to deploy a "joint regional group of troops," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
At the same time, they do not specify the number of Russians who arrived. It should be noted that on October 10, Lukashenka said that "more than one thousand" Russian military men would be brought into the country.
The "regional grouping of troops" is supposed to strengthen the border between Belarus and Ukraine.
According to Belaruski Gayun, the first echelon with the military of the Russian Armed Forces from the regional group of troops arrived at the Losvida railway station (Vitebsk region). This is the north of Belarus, the region does not border on Ukraine.
Then the military moved to the Losvido training ground. This is the training ground of the 103rd airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus from Vitebsk.
It is reported that in the arrived echelon there were approximately 6-7 passenger cars of Russian Railways, 3 freight cars and several platforms with automotive equipment.
They also report about the unloading of the echelon with the Russian military at the Polonka railway station (Baranovichi district, Brest region). There is information about the arrival of an echelon of the RF Armed Forces at the Zaslonovo railway station (Lepel district, Vitebsk region).
At the end of September, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the occupiers planned to place 20,000 mobilized from Russia in Belarus.
