Border guards-dog handlers showed protective ammunition for service dogs


Border guard dogs will have body armor.
The State Border Service of Ukraine told about new clothes for service dogs. Those received service ammunition and will now serve in full combat readiness. This was reported to the State Border Guard Service.
The dog ammunition kits included: body armor, goggles and shoes, headphones and medical kits. They received such gifts from volunteers.
Now it will become safer for service dogs to perform combat missions, because such equipment will not interfere with movement and protect four-legged animals from injuries, the post says.
It should be noted that about 1,600 dogs of 26 different breeds are at work in the State Border Service of Ukraine. The top five most popular breeds are German Shepherd, Belgian Shepherd (Malinois), English Cocker Spaniel, Labrador Retriever and Fox Terrier.
For training, training and service, dogs are taken from the age of ten months to three years. Service dogs retire at 8-9 years old.
