At one time, the trained special forces of Afghanistan were out of work due to the coming to power of the Taliban.

Moreover, the lives of these people who remained in Afghanistan were in danger. This was told by Foreign Policy, citing sources among the former special forces themselves.

Recall how at the end of last summer, when the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, the United States managed to evacuate only part of the military. At the same time, about 20-30 thousand special forces trained by American instructors were essentially abandoned. They had to save themselves because the Taliban were persecuting them for cooperation with the United States.

By the way, the US Congress has already discussed the potential danger that these people can pose as a result of the mistakes made when leaving Afghanistan. They can be recruited by other forces.

Foreign Policy writes that these commandos are interested in PMC Wagner. And according to some estimates, about 10,000 Afghan special forces may join the Russian forces.

Here's what one source said:

They are willing to work for $3-4 a day in Pakistan or Iran, or $10 a day in Turkey. If the Wagner PMC or anyone else comes to such a person and offers him $1,000, he will not refuse to fight again.

Foreign Policy writes that these fighters were considered excellent professionals. And it would be better if they were used by Western allies on the side of Ukraine.
