Occupiers are preparing pseudo-elections in Melitopol

The invaders intend to hold "elections" in Zaporizhzhya region on 8, 9 and 10 September.
The Russians are bringing "masses" to Melitopol and preventing local residents from leaving the city they have seized. They are planning fake elections there. This was reported by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.
Last year's experience of the pseudo-referendum showed: local residents ignore "democracy" from the occupants. Therefore, we have to attract guest speakers from the backwoods unwashed," he wrote.
Fedorov said that a fortnight ago the invaders closed the fastest way of evacuation from the region through the checkpoint Kolotilovka-Pokrovka to prevent locals from leaving the captured territory.
He also noted that it was extremely difficult to leave for those who did take a Russian passport. He stressed that Russians regard such a document issued in the temporarily occupied territories as a "wolf's ticket" and treat such people with suspicion.
We would like to point out that from 8-10 September, residents of the occupied regions will "elect" officials to the "legislative assembly" and "local self-government bodies".
