Netflix caught in big scandal over ignorance of Ukraine's history
Many fans of the streaming service were outraged.
When promoting the new season of its series Vikings: Valhalla, Netflix presented the prince of Kievan Rus, Yaroslav the Wise. But it called him the prince of Northern Russia. This caused outrage among Internet users.
Many accused the streaming service of basic ignorance of history. And they came outraged in the comments to the publication.
As a result, the company deleted the old tweet and published a new one. It now reads "Yaroslav the Wise, warrior-ruler of Kievan Rus".
