Two men killed in Russian mine in Kherson region

In Kherson Region, two local residents were blown up by a mine left by Russian invaders near Velyka Aleksandrovka. The men were killed on the spot, the head of the Kherson regional state administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich, has said.

He said that two men, 53 and 35 years old, were checking their fields and came across an enemy mine.

Because of the wounds they received, they both died on the spot

The head of the OVA once again reminded that the mine danger in Kherson region remains very high. And urged people to refrain from visiting fields, forest belts and other places that have not yet been examined by deminers.

Today, as a result of Russian aggression, about 30 per cent of Ukraine's territory is mined, which is about the same scale as the two territories of Austria. In Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the de-occupied areas are actively being cleared of explosive objects. More than 8,000 square kilometres are to be demined.
