Migrants from Africa died off the coast of Italy

About 700 migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean this weekend. But there were also dead.
European Pravda writes about this with reference to the Reuters agency.
Famine and armed conflicts in southern countries are forcing Africans to flee to Europe. Making a difficult path, many die.
Most of the 674 migrants were found on a fishing boat off the coast of Calabria. Others were rescued in the water. Search and rescue operations were carried out by a merchant ship, the coast guard and the financial police of Italy. Five corpses were taken to the mortuary of a hospital in the Sicilian city of Messina, the article says.
It became known that since the beginning of the year more than 34,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Italy. Last year for the same period, this figure was 25,500 people.
Experts predict that the migration crisis will only intensify. Food shortages caused by the war in Ukraine threaten a new wave of migration from Africa and the Middle East.
