Kyiv Fashion 2025: Ukrainian Fashion in Spite of War

This major event of the Ukrainian fashion industry gathered over 600 brands and attracted over 10,000 visitors in three days.

Despite the full-scale war, the Ukrainian fashion industry not only survives, but continues to create beauty and set new trends. Ukrainians are alive, working and creating! This message united designers, entrepreneurs and visitors of the exhibition. Kyiv Fashion 2025 showed that even in difficult conditions Ukrainians not only preserve their unique fashion, but also develop it, setting new standards of quality and style.

Main sections of the exhibition

Kyiv Fashion traditionally includes a wide range of specialised exhibitions of light and textile industry, creating favourable conditions for presenting various market segments. This year the following thematic sections were presented:

• Kyiv Fashion Lingerie & Swimwear: an international exhibition of lingerie andswimwear;
• Kyiv Fashion Premium: a platform for premium brands;
• Kyiv Fashion Accessories: a section dedicated to accessories;
• Kyiv Fashion Fabrics: an exhibition of fabrics and accessories;
• Kyiv Fashion Equipment: a section of equipment for the light industry.

Business Programme and Main Events

The event programme was packed with numerous fashion shows, business meetings and educational seminars. For example, on 29 January there was a discussion "UKRLEGPROM TALKS: Development Opportunities for Light Industry 2025", where experts discussed the industry's prospects for the current year.

Special attention was also drawn to the master class "Trend Colours. Regularity or caprice?", where the participants learnt about the current shades of the season and their influence on fashion trends.

Sustainable fashion: the responsible choice of Ukrainians

An important theme of this year's exhibition was sustainable fashion and ecological practices in clothing production. Ukrainians continue to care about the future of the planet, choosing responsible consumption, recycling of materials and use of eco-friendly fabrics. Fashion brands presented collections made of organic cotton, linen, recycled polyester, which testifies to the growing culture of resource consciousness.

This year's key trends:

• Recycling old things: designers showed how you can give a second life to clothes;
• Ecological dyes: natural and safe for the environment;
• Local production: support for Ukrainian manufacturers and small ateliers.

Kyiv Fashion 2025 once again confirmed its status as the leading event in the world of Ukrainian fashion, providing a platform for professional communication, exchange of experience and establishment of new partnerships. The exhibition showed that our fashion is not only aesthetic, but also has a strong social component. Participants talked not only about style, but also about ethical production, responsible consumption and support of Ukrainian economy in war conditions.
