Ukrainians want to keep March 8 as a day off - poll results
Diya concluded the vote on whether to keep March 8 as a day off, which was the most massively popular vote. The majority voted in favour, against the abolition of the day off.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhaylo Fyodorov.
More than 2.1m Ukrainians took part in the poll on March 8 in Action. Incredible result. Our record," Fedorov wrote.
Overall, almost 62 per cent (or more than 1.3m) of Ukrainians voted for keeping International Women's Day on 8 March as a day off.
At the same time, 32.8 per cent believe that March 8 should be a working day, while 5.15 per cent are undecided.
We shall remind you that the results of the vote will be taken into account in the Verkhovna Rada when it considers abolition of 8 March.
The digital transformation minister also urged Ukrainians to join a new poll on the Diya portal to choose a new name for the Southwestern Railway.
