In Volyn, a crowd attacked a TCC car: details of the incident


In Volyn, a group of people attacked a service vehicle of the tertiary centre.
The incident occurred on 7 August at around 16:30 in the village of Solovychi in Kovel district during the notification of persons liable for military service, the Volyn regional TCC and SP reported.
According to law enforcers, during the check of documents, one of the local residents refused to show them and tried to run away. At that moment, another man, who introduced himself as the village headman, jumped on the bonnet of the official car and smashed the windscreen with a stone. RBC-Ukraine sources specified that the attacker turned out to be the headman of Solovychivka village headman.
He was joined by a woman who struck the car, and another man with a metal object, presumably a spanner, smashed the side windows and hit the driver three times on the arm. The car was blocked by other vehicles, including lorries, after which around 10 men surrounded the car and punched it for several minutes, obstructing duties.
Information about the incident was entered into the ERDR under part 2 of article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "Threat or violence against an official or a citizen performing a public duty" (punishment - up to 5 years of imprisonment). One of the participants was detained under Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the actions of the other were qualified under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "Hooliganism" (maximum penalty - up to 7 years of imprisonment).
