Differences and covert competition between groups in the General Staff existed long before the start of the war, but recent failures and attempts by other centers of power in the Russian establishment to lay full responsibility for the failures on the military led to a sharp escalation of the confrontation, the report says.

It is noted that now there are no signs of the Kremlin's intentions to end the war in Ukraine in the near future. At the same time, attempts to carry out the so-called "hidden mobilization" continue. An active propaganda campaign is being carried out and graduates and cadets of military schools are sent to the combat zone.
