In Kyrgyzstan, an ice-cream truck hit 29 schoolchildren, 7 children in intensive care

In the Kyrgyz village of Zherge-Tal, during a festive event, a lorry carrying ice-cream without a driver rolled down a slope and into a crowd. The vehicle hit 29 schoolchildren who were participating in a competition.
This is reported by the local edition 24.kg.
The event took place during a competition in which schoolchildren were reading excerpts from the Kyrgyz epic "Manas". At that moment, a driverless lorry flew into the crowd.
The vehicle was supposed to hand out ice cream to a participant in the event. The driver said that he parked the truck higher up from the venue. However, for an unknown reason, the vehicle rolled downhill.
As a result of the accident, 29 schoolchildren aged from 9 to 16 years old went to hospital with injuries of varying severity. Seven of them are in intensive care.
Seven children are in intensive care, four are in serious condition. They have head injuries, abdominal injuries. I have taken the treatment process under my personal control, we are holding an online consultation. All the necessary drugs and blood are available. We are coping on our own," said the head of the Ministry of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev.
It is noted that 11 affected children were sent for outpatient treatment after the provision of assistance.
