Germany has suggested that its citizens who are in Ukraine "urgently leave the country", while those who intend to stay are asked to bear in mind that Russia may intensify air attacks on Ukrainian cities on Ukraine's Independence Day on 24 August. The German Foreign Ministry's website said of the potential danger.

The US embassy urged its citizens to be careful these days. The US diplomatic office said that it has intelligence that suggests that Russia is accumulating the potential for a massive strike on Ukraine.
