From August 16, a number of changes come into force for electricity consumers: details

The Decree provides for several steps for the consumer in the aspect of consumer protection. The resolution was published on the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors website.

Firstly, this document simplified the procedure for changing the electricity supplier, which will allow the consumer, in comparison with the statutory deadline for the transition to a new electricity supplier of 21 days, to carry out such a transition in 3 days.

Electricity suppliers were obliged to indicate in the invoices the payment information on the initial and final readings for the electrical energy payment for which charges are made.

This measure gave household consumers clear and correct information on charges for consumed electrical energy.

Also, for consumers of an electrical installation with a small power - up to 0.1 kW -relations for electrical supply are simplified; that is, the organization of commercial accounting and the determination of consumption volumes are settled without establishing measuring equipment (meters).

Recall that in July, Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said there would be no rise in electricity prices shortly since their regulation is the government's responsibility.
