Russians dig trenches in the occupied peninsula in the hope that they will help repel attacks by the AFU.

National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov has expressed confidence that Ukraine will return temporarily occupied Crimea under its control, while the trenches dug by the invaders on the peninsula will not help them. Danilov said this in a commentary to Crimea.Reality.

I can say that trenches will definitely not help them (Russians - ed.). Crimea will be returned and returned by all means - the way our military and political leadership decides. If it is necessary to fight for Crimea, we will fight for Crimea, and we will not ask anyone. This is our land, and it must be returned home

Also, according to the secretary of the NSBO, Russians who moved to live on the peninsula will leave just as easily as they came.

This is our land, they have to live according to our laws. If they have occupied the premises, where our citizens lived, how is it that they should not vacate them? Stolen things never bring happiness. There is no need to steal

We shall remind you that earlier, photos and video of trenches on the Crimean coast, which were dug, tentatively, to protect themselves from the landing of Ukrainian landing troops, appeared on the network.

We would like to add that according to British intelligence, the Russian Armed Forces started launching Iranian drones not from Crimea, as previously, but from Krasnodar Region. The British Defence Ministry explained the change of the launch site by the fact that the Russian commanders considered the annexed Crimea a vulnerable place after a series of attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces
