Czech Republic restricts Russians from entering its country

The Czech Republic is now among the Baltic countries, Poland and Finland, which closed their borders to Russian tourists even earlier.
This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky explained the government's decision:
While in Ukraine, Russian rockets are falling on playgrounds and on people who are just going to work, up to 200 citizens of the Russian Federation travel to the Czech Republic through the international airport every day. That is why we have agreed that entry will be denied to those Russian citizens who arrive in the Czech Republic through the external borders of the Schengen area - that is, through our international airport - for the purpose of tourism, sports or culture.
Thus, from October 25, Russians with Schengen visas of any EU state traveling for the purpose of tourism, sports or culture will not be allowed to enter the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic is now among the Baltic countries, Poland and Finland, which closed their borders to Russian tourists even earlier.
It is worth recalling that from the very beginning of the full-scale war, the Government of Prague imposed a ban on issuing visas to citizens of Russia and Belarus. This ban is still in effect except in humanitarian cases.
