Czech Republic reacts to Fitzo's words about peace talks in Slovakia

Fitzo said Slovakia was ready to host future peace talks on Ukraine, while the Kremlin said the country was neutral.
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky has reacted to statements by the Slovak Foreign Ministry that the country is ready to host future peace talks on Russia's war against Ukraine. This was reported by Radio Prague International.
Lipavsky pointed out that there are more lies in this statement and in fact Russia does not seek peace, destroying Ukrainian cities and damaging infrastructure and energy facilities in Ukraine on a daily basis. He also emphasised that Putin himself does not seek peace and has said so many times.
Let us not engage in Russian lies, but think about how to ensure the safety of our people," Lipavsky said.
Prague emphasised that it was Russia that started the war and the threat comes from it. It also noted that the Kremlin called Slovakia a "neutral" country, which sounds extremely ambiguous coming from the mouth of an aggressor. In addition, the Czech Republic stressed that it is impossible to remain "neutral" when in a neighbouring country the population is killed and cities are destroyed.
Earlier, Slovakia said that there was no military solution to the conflict in Ukraine and that Slovakia was in favour of a peaceful solution and supported any peace initiatives. It also said that Slovakia was ready to host future peace talks on Ukraine. At the same time, the previous day Putin also expressed his agreement with the proposal from Bratislava and described the country as "neutral".
