British intelligence has estimated how long it will take Russia to seize Donbass and southern Ukraine

British intelligence has estimated how long it would take Russia to fully occupy four regions of Ukraine.
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, at the current rate of advance of Russian troops in 2025, the occupiers will need about 4.4 years to seize 100 percent of the territory of Donbas and southern Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defence has said.
It is also noted that if hostilities continue for more than four more years at the current casualty rate, Russia may lose another 1.93m of its citizens killed and wounded.
This is in addition to about 1.06 million losses since 2022, among which about 250 thousand - killed or missing - specify in the Department.
We will remind, earlier Russian dictator Vladimir Putin offered US President Donald Trump to stop hostilities in Ukraine on condition that the Ukrainian troops hand over all the territories of Donbass under Russian control.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by stressing that the Ukrainian army would not leave Donbas, as concessions without security guarantees could only lead to the start of a third war.
